Geering Up’s Online High School Summer Courses are action packed programs all about STEM (science, technology, engineering, math). Each session consists of hands-on activities and are available for students going into Grades 8 to 12 (for the 2021/22 school year) and feature a variety of themes including:

Cost: CAD 180 The Delta Fire Department will provide sponsorships for 3 girls in Grade 11 or 12 to go to a single day-camp on August 14, 2021 (Grade 12 students will be given priority).

UBC - Indigenous Teacher Education Program (NITEP) NITEP is a five-year concurrent program with similar requirements for both liberal education and pedagogical preparation to those prescribed for students in the Elementary & Middle Years and Secondary 11-month options. Although the program is designed for five years, many students choose to complete the requirements in less time. Up to 12 credits may normally be completed during a summer session. Hear from universities, Non-profit organizations and summer programs at PuMP+! PuMP+ is free for all high school students in Vancouver and across B.C. to learn more about opportunities in job shadowing, summer high school programs, volunteer positions, and laboratory research. Students will be given the opportunity to move between interactive booths that suit their interests, participate in raffles for different prizes, and network. Volunteers will assist all staff onsite and provide a fun and safe learning atmosphere for campers. Volunteers should be energetic, enthusiastic, responsible and a team player. Volunteers are required to watch a volunteer video prior to starting which will be forwarded to you shortly before camp starts. Students must be at least 14 years old by that week of camp. Students 18 or older must provide a police record check for the vulnerable sector. Acceptance deadlines vary. For the most admitted applicants, the acceptance deadline is May 1 but admitted students should check their admission letter for their specific acceptance deadline. UVic - April updates All BC applicants should have now received an email from the UVic Admissions office with instructions on how to submit their transcripts to UVic through the BC Ministry of Education’s new XML system. Volunteers are often our former campers but volunteering is open to virtually anyone. Being a volunteer is often the first step towards becoming a staff member at the Royal Soccer Club. Deadline to Self Report - UVic and SFU March 15, 2021 Sending Transcript to University of Toronto Students are advised to update their grades in their Join portal—they can upload unofficial copies or report cards and update their Self-Reported Grades form as these interim grades do not need to be official. UofT uses the STS grades for the final to meet conditions of offers over the summer. To request an updated transcript, contact Ms. Abad Next Steps - University of Ottawa Virtual Spring Open House will take place from Monday, March 15 to Saturday, March 20. These include customized activities based on the fields of study that students are interested in, steps in the admissions process, scholarships, financial aid, and experiential learning, all in an interactive online environment. Participants will be able to chat with current students, profs and uOttawa representatives, learn more about what to expect in fall 2021, take a guided virtual campus tour and browse virtual kiosks to download brochures and watch videos.
