We are currently looking for high school instructors (paid and volunteer positions available) to support our summer camps, which run from June 30th – August 22nd, 2014.
This year we are offering for the first time ever a Science Leadership Conference which will include the training required for our summer camps. It will also provide students with valuable information and resources unique only to the Science Leadership conference. Students will have multiple lessons taught to them by university professors of multiple fields, and they will be able to explore campus and learn to work in a university setting whether it is in labs or lecture halls. Workshops also include Job Skills, Preparation for Post-Secondary Education, Exploring Options, and many Hands-On Workshops throughout the University.
Accepted volunteers and instructors will gain valuable experience working with kids and in science labs, and be exposed to the university environment all in a fun and dynamic atmosphere.
Interested candidates must currently be in/completing grades 9-12, and must undergo a successful group interview before being selected to volunteer for the program.
If you are interested in science, engineering, and technology, and would like to spend the summer having fun with kids and getting them excited about science, this is the job for you! We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, responsible, and good with kids.
