Applications for these scholarships are available as of Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in the Career Centre. They are scholarships or bursaries that come from organizations within the community and cover a wide range of eligibility (e.g., where you went to elementary school, your educational goal, your gender, community service you’ve performed, financial need, the trade you’re going into, etc.). Their value varies considerably.
The application consists of one form with an awards list attached. Fill out the form and check off the scholarships you’re eligible for. If any of the scholarships you’ve checked off require additional forms or letters, attach those too. Drop the whole application in the red box in the Career Centre by 3:15 on Tuesday, May 12, 2015.
NOTE: Brag Sheets are the same as the Community Scholarships application form. If you have completed a Brag Sheet, you may attach a copy of it to the awards list (make sure you check off the awards you’re eligible for) and submit that as your application.
