District/Authority Scholarship
APPLICATION DEADLINE: April 30, 2024 (Tuesday)
FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2023-2024, DELVIEW HAD BEEN ALLOCATED 14 AWARDS
These scholarships, worth $1250 in voucher form, come from the government to recognize non-academic achievements. It will be awarded to 14 Delview students. If you have outstanding accomplishments in one of the following seven categories, you can apply:
1. Indigenous Languages and Culture
demonstrated at school or in the community
2. Fine Arts
Dance, Drama, Music & Visual Arts
3. Applied Design, Skills and Technologies
Business, Technology, Home Economics, Media Arts, Tourism
4 Physical Activity
Athletics, Dance, Gymnastics, not limited to Physical Education
5. Languages
External Assessments or Languages Curriculum, including AP and IB courses
6. Community (Volunteer Activity) - 50 hour minimum
includes awareness of local, global and cultural issues
7. Technical & Trades
Coding, Culinary Arts, Mechanics, Robotics, Woodwork

Selection Process:

Once you have been selected as finalist
Students may apply to more than one focus area but can only win one District/Authority Scholarship

Selection Process:

- your BRAG SHEET
- Written statement for each of the focus area you are applying to
- Two (2) completed confidential references to be sent via email directly or in sealed envelope from the reference to Mrs. Kaur
Once you have been selected as finalist
- Evidence of student work selected must be presented through in-person presentation. Student can show actual sample (pictures of work, trophies, certificates, videos, etc). Powerpoint presentation can be shown while talking about your accomplishment .
