Due to a high registration number, we are in desperate need of volunteers for our after school programs at Gibson Elementary this term.
CSP are looking for mature, dedicated and hardworking volunteers (Grade 10, 11 and 12 students) to help run the programs. Community Schools Partnership (CSP) is an organization within the Delta School District that create and organize affordable activities for children within our school district, such as Seasonal Day Camps and After School Programs. Our organization has expanded to seven different Elementary schools this term and with that we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help run our Winter 2020 Afterschool Programs. The application deadline is March 8, 2020. Aug. 9-14 for young women August 16-21 for young men. This one week, all-expenses-paid camp uses hands-on learning to explore exciting career choices in aviation to allow participants to experience the power and potential of a science education, and to be empowered to reach for success. Explore Aviation Summer Camp points the spotlight on careers in aviation where STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education is the key to success for the next generation of tomorrow’s workforce. Participants of Explore Aviation Summer Camp are mentored by industry experts who will empower and motivate this next generation of aviation leaders by introducing them to inspirational and successful professionals. The main aim of this program is to connect high school students who are interested in engineering with UBC engineering mentors who will be able to inform, inspire and excite them about the program. Once the students are paired up with a suitable mentor, we will organize an event where the students will have the opportunity to meet their mentors as well as interact with other students. This will be followed up by about two other events later on in the year.
