The Confratellanza Italo-Canadese was founded in 2904 and is committed to the preservation of Italian cultural hetiage and contributing to the enrichment of the multicultural community in the Greater Vancouver area. This year they are offering several $1,000 scholarships to assist eligible students in their post secondary studies.

Ottawa (19 Oct. 2016) — Each year, the National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE) offers scholarships that reflect its pursuit of equal opportunity for all workers. Historically there have been 4 scholarships open to the children, grandchildren or foster children of the National Union’s 370,000 members who are starting a post-secondary education. For 2017, NUPGE has added the Brian Fudge Memorial Scholarship. The deadline for applications is July 7, 2017.Some scholarships may have additional requirements. Delta Hospital Auxiliary was formed in 1969 and is a major volunteer service provider and fund raising organization supporting Delta Hospital. In appreciation for the public support that we have received over the years the Auxiliary now awards six bursaries of $1,500.00 each. Funds are awarded at the discretion of the Bursary Committee. The Betty Spalton Trust Fund was established in 1999 to provide financial support to individuals obtaining an education in fields associated with the road building and heavy construction industry. As one of the goals of this fund is to encourage diversity in the industry, preference is given to females and/or members of minority groups. The fund honours Betty Spalton, an industry and Association leader who died after a brief illness in 1999. Our association is comprised of administrative and management personnel of school districts who are responsible for construction, maintenance and custodial services, etc.
These bursaries are offered to secondary students completing their grade 12 year who will enter a recognized post secondary educational institution in the 2017/2018 term. Bursaries will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement and/or special needs. Preference will be given to students entering the fields of engineering, architecture, or building technology. Should there not be suitable applications received in these fields, students in other courses of study will be considered, however, all applicants MUST be dependents of school district employees in the school plant area (i.e. Maintenance or Custodial). From 1974-2012 he taught and coached in 5 of the 7 secondary schools in Delta. His love for the game and commitment to developing young student athletes touched and inspired many.
The Duncan Anderson Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually to an outstanding graduating Delta School District basketball player who demonstrates passion for the game, work ethic, leadership and commitment to team success. The student athlete will have a minimum B average for grade 11/12. The recipient will receive the scholarship amount to use towards their post secondary education. Applicants please submit:

DELVIEW WILL NOMINATE ONE STUDENT Brag Sheets can be picked up in the Career Centre under the white board. This scholarship has been established by Mrs. Sheelah Grasswick’s family in recognition of her life long interest in education and the community. Mrs. Grasswick served as a Delta School District Trustee from November 1989 until her death in September 1998. Details of the scholarship are as follows:
