Self- Reporting for BC and Yukon students will be available online from March 3rd until April 11th, 2014. This year we want to support your students more than ever as they prepare to self-report the grades UBC will use in their admission decision. Please encourage your students to check out the two resources that we are excited to offer them this year:
- Updated and enhanced information about Self-Reporting at you.ubc.ca including checklists and answers to most common questions
- A series of live online information sessions designed to walk students through the steps to prepare and to be an open forum to ask questions to an Admissions Advisor
Destination UBC
UBC's largest annual welcome event held on both campuses, Destination UBC, is coming up in May. This event attracts hundreds of newly admitted students from around the country, and provides the opportunity for them to meet with faculty, see campus and start making connections in their new home. This year, we are excited to be able to help your students get here.
Every admitted student from BC is invited to participate in the main event. And, we are offering to cover the cost of travel and accomodation for students coming from certain areas within BC which are a little harder to get to campus from. In order to be eligible for the travel reimbursement component of the program, students must be admitted to UBC and be attending high school in school districts outside of the Lower Mainland and Okanagan Region. These students will be invited to the program shortly after they recieve their offer of admission.
BC students from the following school districts are not eligible for the travel reimbursement program, but are encouraged to attend the Destination UBC on-campus event:
- Lower Mainland (school districts 33-45, 48, and 75)
- Okanagan Region (school districts 22, 23, 51, 53, 58, 67, and 83)
