For the Community Scholarships:
You don’t need any letters. You do need the names and phone numbers, etc., of people who could verify what you put on the application form. Be sure the application form is attached to the awards list, and you have checked off only the awards for which you are eligible.
For the Dogwood Scholarships:
You don’t need any letters. You do need three Teacher or Sponsor Reference Forms, one copy of which is attached to the application (make two other copies). Be sure you have:
1) listed off at least three courses or activities that relate to your area of accomplishment;
2) attached a maximum 300-word statement providing information on what you’ve done to be outstanding in your area of accomplishment;
3) arranged for three teachers or other sponsors to hand in a confidential Teacher/Sponsor Reference Form that supports you in your area of accomplishment.
