Criteria:
- Applicants must be a Canadian citizen and reside in BC or the Yukon
- Bursaries are awarded to students attending facilities on a full-time basis for two consecutive semesters
- Post graduate studies do not apply
- Financial need is the primary basis for choosing recipients and priority is given to children, grand children or great grandchildren of veterans .Students who do not have relatives who are veterans may also apply. A veteran is defined by the Royal Canadian Legion as “Any person who is serving or has honorably served in the Canadian Armed Forces, the Commonwealth or its wartime allies, or as a Regular Member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, or as a Peace Officer in a Special Duty Area or on a Special Duty Operation, or who has served in the Merchant Navy or Ferry Command during wartime”

Eligibility Criteria
- Female students in the Metro Vancouver schools who are completing grade 12 and are children of refugees or immigrants to Canada.
- Must be interested in pursuing a career in social work, education, psychology, nursing or social service.
- Possess academic grades sufficient to allow admission into their chosen area of study/educational facility.
- Demonstrate financial need.
